United Solar Polysilicon - USD 1.6 Billion Polysilicon Plant in the Sohar Free Zone
AMJ is proud to have advised our longstanding client, United Solar Polysilicon, the developer of a landmark USD 1.6 billion polysilicon plant in the Sohar Free Zone, the first large-scale facility of its kind in the Middle East and a cornerstone of Oman Vision 2040.
AMJ team advised on the Future Fund Oman (OIA) investment, working alongside international counsel Linklaters and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Our lawyers Marcus Pery, Ravinder Singh, Ishan Ahmad and Abdullah Al Jardani advised on Omani-law aspects of the transaction, covering equity restructuring and capital reorganisation, financing arrangements and general corporate matters.
We are honored to have supported a project that marks a major milestone in regional clean-energy manufacturing and contributes to Oman’s ambitions to expand its green-energy and industrial sectors. Many thanks to the team at United Solar Polysilicon led by Maggie Guan for helping us make this transaction a success.
