Tourism and Hospitality
Oman’s ambition to position itself as a leading global tourism destination — encompassing international sporting events, eco- and adventure-tourism, cultural attractions and major conferences — has driven substantial investment in new developments and infrastructure upgrades.
The national tourism strategy aims to boost international arrivals to five million visitors, and to increase the sector’s contribution to GDP to 9%, within the coming decade.
AMJ’s Tourism and Hospitality team has extensive experience across all segments of the hotel, resort, entertainment and leisure industries. Our work ranges from advising on the development and construction of single luxury hotels to large-scale integrated tourism complexes (ITCs), resort villages with marinas and golf courses, urban mixed-use hotel–retail–leisure developments, and major convention and exhibition centres.
We advise owners, developers, private financiers, banks and many of the world’s leading hospitality operators on the full suite of legal services required in this diverse sector, including land ownership, financing, development and construction, real estate, M&A, joint ventures, management contracts, franchising, tax, employment and litigation.
Our decades-long track record in Oman’s tourism and hospitality sector, combined with our strong familiarity with the country's regulatory authorities and legal frameworks, enables us to provide clients with practical, commercially grounded advice on all aspects of relevant law and policy.
We support developers, lenders and operators in navigating regulatory requirements, structuring their projects effectively, and delivering successful, sustainable developments in line with Oman’s long-term tourism strategy.
