About
Ch. Muhammad Ali is a senior associate in the Commercial & Capital Markets Team and has a broad range of experience with mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial matters. In addition to this, he has extensive experience in advising clients on projects, digital assets and artificial intelligence policies.
Prior to joining AMJ in 2023, Ali practiced at a major/ leading law firm in Pakistan, where he routinely advised corporate clients in connection with restructuring, corporate and commercial issues, compliances, and corporate matters.
He also lectured at the University of London, International Programme from August 2015 to June 2023.

- Advised MB Group on the strategic sale of an 80% stake in its oilfield services subsidiary, MB Petroleum Services LLC (MBPS), to ADNOC Drilling.
- Advised Bank Dhofar SAOG on its acquisition of Bank of Baroda (international bank)’s Oman branch network inclusive of its entire business assets and liabilities
- Advised in relation to issuance and allotment of new equity shares in Salalah Mills Company SAOG in favour of ME(O) Solaris Investment through private placement.
- Advised Wong & Partners, acting as Omani legal counsel, on the proposed acquisition of shares by its client via subscription in a foreign registered holding company that controls an Omani limited liability company.
- Advised a foreign investor for establishment of Omani companies and their utilization as investment vehicle for the purpose of a share acquisition and subsequent sale transaction in foreign jurisdiction.

- Advising foreign investors as vice-counsel on Omani law for establishing a large-scale, low CO2 iron metallics production project for direct reduced iron located within the Port of Duqm
- Advising Jindal group in relation to setting up of the world’s largest green hydrogen ready steel plant and the first in Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Al-Duqm Oman
- Advised a public joint stock company on the legal and regulatory framework applicable to and contractual terms for the development, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of a solar photovoltaic power generation plant for self-consumption
